Fotten Gaga

Okay, Angelo, I'll do it. I'll post one of your pictures of the Fotten Gaga models and link it to everything in your blog with a fotten gaga label. Here goes . . .

There you go, I'm driving traffic to your blog. Maybe I'll get some blowback . . . positive blowback for my blogs.

And, people, in case you don't know, Angelo is "the Saipan Blogger." At least he says so. Says he has been so "ever since." He's on MySpace too.

Now then, there's the Saipan Blog, not to be confused with Angelo. That's Ed Stephen's compilation of columns for the Saipan Tribune. See, Ed beat Angelo to the domain name www.saipanblog.com. That's okay, tho', somebody (okay, Walt Goodridge of Side Orders and PassionProfit and Saipanpreneur and others) got www.thesaipanblogger.com domain for Angelo. These guys are the We Love Saipan Network.

Well, Angelo says Ed Stephen's blog is "Four Ex-pats bitch about Life in Paradise", but actually Ed is a pretty good writer -- sometimes informative, sometimes funny, sometimes off the wall, sometimes something else. Talking about Ed makes me think of somebody else that's been writing about Saipan for longer than most and was one of the first to make her columns available on the Net: Ruth Tighe with "On My Mind . . ."

Maybe I should ask Ron Hodges to teach me about satire?

Steve, put commas between your labels.

It should look like:

fotten gaga, angelo villagomez, eco-terrorist, etc...

LOL, this really is a serious attempt at traffic whoring.

Oh, and yeah, you need to put commas between your tags.

Also, you might want to go in and change your comment settings to allow users with OpenID's to leave comments. Right now only those with Google/Blogger accounts can. It's no big deal, but it limits the amount of feedback you'll get. :)

Cheers!

Thanks, guys. I'll make the corrections.

Traffic whoring, eh? Well I won't make a habit of it. Anyway, Angelo, you're the all time champion, with your Laure Manaudou Primate Sex Video pushing 1.3 million views, favorited 183 times, 3 honors, 5 links, and 391 comments -- and how many link-throughs back to your blog?

I admire your creativity . . . and you do have a sense of humor, although not a type everyone will appreciate . . . .

I could protest the "traffic whoring" characterization . . . or I could if I hadn't lifted the picture from Saipan Blogger . . . The fotten gaga pictures are legitimate posts because they reflect an aspect of life on Saipan . . . and of Angelo's personality . . .

The beauty of the Saipan Blogosphere is, as you have noted, that it wonderfully makes available to the world (through the various contributors) a tapestry of life here -- a tapestry not previously available and one evermore becoming richer and more accurately reflective of the diverse reality. It also builds community right here at home, fostering communication and making us individually more aware of the lives (and hearts) of others.

Steve, that last paragraph is great.

You will note that in my We Love Saipan testimonial, the three things I love about Saipan are:

1. Unparalled Natural Beauty
2. Storied history
3. Diversity of the people

...and Jeff Turbitt came up with the term "traffic whore." That's been my nickname for about a month.
